Burnout is a cycle of negative emotions that drain the employee whereas stress is the tensed response the employee gives to the situation.

Burnout or Depression?

Both have similar signs, but depression has more severe symptoms that carry forward to life outside office as well.

Causes of Burnout

Burnout can be caused by  lack of support, unrealistic deadlines, excessive workload, inequality and vague job roles.

Certain lifestyle changes like sleeping at fixed hours, separating work and personal life and practising your hobbies can reduce levels of burnout.

Prevention being better than cure, stay alert about the signs of burnout, if noticed begin self-interventions immediately.
