Understanding the root cause of anxiety and working on eradicating the cause itself will help us deal effectively with anxiety.
The worksheet comprises 7 steps to challenge your anxiety and look past it. The very first step is to list down things that make you anxious and the negative thoughts surrounding it. After that you are to imagine the worst case scenario pertaining to that negative thought. Once all of this is listed down properly, you can then jot down certain things that are in your control which will help you to prevent the anxious thoughts after which you are required to suggest a few ways in which your body responds to the anxiety followed by ways to calm your body down when in an anxious situation.
Lastly, you have to write down a few positive thoughts that you can use to cope with an anxious situation effectively. This activity will help you understand your thoughts when you’re having anxiety and help you to deal with them in a positive manner.
