We are constantly occupied with excessive worrying and anxiety about our thoughts that fog our minds with negative thinking. It is highly impossible to always live with such distressing thoughts, and trying to fight them will always lead us to be mentally drained. Hence instead of fighting this anxiety, why not think about embracing it and working towards calming yourself down? Let us get to know a few techniques and activities that will help you embrace your anxieties and live with them.

The following worksheet is spread out over 5 domains and will encourage you to embrace our anxiety rather than fight it. You will first have to sit back in a relaxed position, take deep breaths and focus on all of your body parts one by one. Once you start concentrating on your bodily sensations, you are to write down any concerns that you have in the box provided. In the same way, you have to mention specific body sensations associated with each of your concerns and list them in the box provided.

Indulge in some self talk by telling yourself that it is alright to feel such emotions and begin living this entire experience. Refocus on your breathing and allow it to be a means for the reaction towards the concerns jotted. Allow the exhalations to be longer than the inhalations. Try tracing your thoughts back to the concerns you mentioned earlier and let yourself know that you are not aware of anything related to those concerns. Let your mind adjust to the fact that knowing everything is not as important as it may seem like and that you need to start living with uncertainty as well.
