The attachment pattern of an individual primarily estimates their satisfaction in relationships. Two partners within one relationship can have different satisfaction levels and requirements from their union. Attachment styles can be identified and worked on if found unhealthy. Aarogyaananda conducted meticulous research on married couples in India to identify the same.
Their responses were collected through an online questionnaire containing standardised tests aiming to identify their individual attachment style and gauge their marital satisfaction. Through the research, many couples had the opportunity to introspect their own needs in their marriage.
All the participants identified new opinions of self, marital satisfaction and partner preferences through this initiative.
Individuals often fail to realise that their intrinsic pattern of forming a bond holds importance for the success of their marriage. They do not recognize the needs they wish their partner to fulfil. Hence, they are unable to communicate the same. This leaves a massive gap for misunderstandings and emotional detachment to creep in.
Our research wishes to reduce this gap through clear findings.
The result showed that individuals with a Close attachment style experience significantly higher relationship satisfaction than those with an Anxiety attachment style. Similarly, individuals with a Depend attachment style exhibit substantially higher relationship satisfaction than those with an Anxiety attachment style.
