As Paul Lockhart rightly said, โTeaching is not about information. It is about having an honest intellectual relationship with your studentsโ.
Our teachers leave a permanent mark on our hearts; may that be through their kindness, their knowledge, their life lessons or their love for children. Team Ananda stirred up the nostalgia for many people this week.
Team Ananda conducted the weekly ‘Ananda Chat’ on Jangli Maharaj road, Pune on 27th January,2023. Despite some technical difficulties, the team successfully conducted the chat.
The topic for this week was โTeacher-student relationships’.
Did you have an influential person or a ‘guru’ growing up?
How did your teacher motivate you?
Mention three unforgettable lessons from your teacher.
Many respondents shared memories of their favourite teachers, tuition teachers, sports coaches and music instructors. Some stated that their parents were their gurus and idols.
It was noted that as students, our respondents, remember the life lessons and the warmth of their teachers more than the academic education.
We have also recorded some interesting replies about life being the best teacher of all.
Ananda Chat has and will keep coming up with questions and themes that will redirect the audienceโs train of thought toward preserving mental well-being.
If you want to contribute a couple of hours to a social cause and would like to interact with a variety of people, Team Ananda welcomes you to volunteer with us for the Ananda Chat initiative. Reach out to us if you are up for it!
If you have any suggestions on topics related to the human mind and mental health that you would like us to take up the Ananda Chat Sessions, please feel free to share them in the box at support@ananda.ai.
